So my husband's kids are here half the time, plus almost all holidays, plus all of summer vacation but in a census we are not a stepfamily because of the custody issue? It's ridiculous. So then the only stepfamilies that are official are the ones with custody? Or kids there "most of the time?" It makes no sense!! HOld on a second.
