Hi Wednesday -
Just read your article from Stepmoms Magazine, “Get It On -Sex and the Woman with Stepkids” WOW. You make many good/sexy points to persuade and inspire stepmothers to put the stepcouple relationship on the top burner…I mean that literally!! You make it clear that kids and stepkids are NOT INVITED OR WELCOME at times. Adults need privacy just as kids do. Certainly physical and emotional intimacy provides a vital connection in repartnering and keeping that relationship fresh. It’s important to not let stepparenting or dealing with the EX problems get in your way. (It’s not always possible…I understand.)
As the relationship endures, all the kids and stepkids in the stepfamily benefit in the long run from the example set – love, intimacy, respect and trust in a partnership.
